About Chia Network (IOU)

Chia Network, is developing a green and eco-friendly smart transaction platform, as an alternative to Bitcoin. The project is created by the inventor and founder of BitTorrent, Bram Cohen where his idea was to implement the first new Nakamoto consensus algorithm since Bitcoin in 2008. Their goal is to replace Proof of Work with Proof of Space and Time.

The project is developed in a new programing language called Chialisp which is easy to audit and secure, while also it will make cryptocurrency easier to use.

Chia Network has not yet launched. However, some cryptocurrency exchanges are giving users the option of speculating on CHIA's future price by offering the trading of CHIA IOUs. These IOU markets tend to have low liquidity, and the lack of arbitrage opportunities can result in significant price discrepancies between different exchanges.
