Over the past 2 days, we have seen Litecoin lead the charge after it has increased by a total of over 10% to reach its current $98 price level. This price increase can largely be attributed to the upcoming Litecoin block halving, scheduled in just under 4 days, which will see the supply inflation for Litecoin drop by 50% as the mining reward is cut in half from 25 LTC per block to 12.5 LTC per block.

Ethereum has finally seen some movement above the $300 level after surging by 10.62% over the past week to reach the current price of around $311.
The trouble mounts for Ethereum this week as the cryptocurrency returns to the 2019 lows against Bitcoin as it currently trades around the ฿0.0250 level. Ethereum itself is doing alright against the USD as it currently trades close to $300, but this is largely due to the fact that Bitcoin has been on an epic surge, helping the USD price rise for all altcoins.
The Litecoin price decline continues after falling by a further 7.7% in today’s trading session, allowing the price for Litecoin to drop towards the $120 level. Litecoin has now seen an 11% price decline over the past week and we have seen Litecoin drop from the previous resistance around the $145 level.
