Key highlights:
- ADA climbed above $0.19 for the first time since July after gaining more than 20% in a few days
- Cardano whales accumulated over 240 million ADA, lifting combined holdings to roughly 14.5 billion ADA
- The ADA price is testing the $0.198-$0.20 breakout zone, with $0.2575 as the next major resistance level
Cardano is now trading at a level above $0.19 for the first time since July 4th, and the move has taken place at a pace that most people did not expect. The ADA price has risen from around $0.16 to levels of around $0.195 within days, making Cardano one of the best-performing altcoins in a week of choppy market action.
The bigger question is not whether the rebound is real. The charts and market-cap data confirm that money has flowed back into ADA. The real question is who is doing the buying, because one important on-chain metric shows that retail investors have not returned yet.
The ADA price has bounced more than 20% in a few days
According to Santiment, ADA hit the $0.195 mark, marking its highest level since July 4, while the market cap of Cardano grew by 24% over the last week. The market cap of Cardano surged from $5.8 billion to $7.2-7.3 billion in just five days, up from $0.16 to $0.19.

🚀 $ADA just reached $0.195 for the first time since July 4th. Its market cap is up 24% over the past week, making Cardano one of the cleanest standouts in an otherwise disappointing and choppy altcoin market.

We had a look at the broader chart, and the recovery is easy to spot. ADA fell from around $0.27 in early June to the $0.13-$0.14 area by June 23, then rebounded sharply into early August. The ADA price near $0.193-$0.195 is now the highest reading in roughly one month.
Cardano whales are helping explain the move
According to TheCryptoBasic, a large number of Cardano’s holders bought more than 240 million ADA in the last five days, raising their total ADA supply to around 14.5 billion ADA. The purchase came on the days in which ADA rose by around 22%.
Large #Cardano holders have significantly expanded their positions over the past five days, reinforcing confidence in $ADA’s recent market recovery.

That relationship is hard to ignore. A rising price alongside heavy whale accumulation usually means larger investors are adding exposure instead of selling into the rally. Even after a small retreat from the local peak, ADA was still trading near $0.1801, up 13.6% over seven days and 1.84% over 24 hours at the time of the report.
No one can guarantee that whales will keep buying, but the data clearly shows that large holders added to their positions during the recovery.
The ADA price is testing a major breakout level
We had a look at the ADA daily chart, and the technical setup is approaching a make-or-break area. The ADA price is trading around $0.1949 and is pressing against a descending resistance trendline that has capped the market since the May highs.
Daily ADA chart analysis
The first important level is the 100-period simple moving average on the 4-hour chart at $0.1705. ADA is already above that level, which points to improving short-term momentum. The bigger test is the 100-day SMA near $0.1980. The price is trading only a few cents below it.
If ADA can close decisively above $0.198-$0.20, it would break both the descending trendline and the daily 100-day moving average. That would put the next major resistance area near $0.2575 into view.
4-hour ADA chart analysis
Support is easier to define. The best area of demand is the $0.125-$0.140 zone where ADA found a floor during the capitulation in June. In case of a failed breakout, the first level that traders will pay attention to is the $0.17-$0.18 zone.
ADA momentum is strong, but stretched
Bullish momentum indicators are evident; however, they have revealed that the move has been extended over the near term. The 4-hour RSI indicator stands at 68.24, while the daily RSI is standing at 68.42. The readings for both indicators are getting closer to the classic overbought area at 70.
This does not necessarily signal a reversal; strong rallies may stay elevated for long periods. This just shows that consolidation or a retracement is completely expected before another breakout move.
One encouraging detail is the daily RSI structure. The indicator has been printing higher lows even as the price previously made lower lows during the June decline. Traders often watch that type of bullish divergence for signs that bearish momentum is fading.
The recovery is not happening in isolation. Santiment pointed to several ongoing ecosystem developments, including Leios testnet work, Hydra scaling progress, Mithril upgrades, Pyth integration, and fresh Catalyst funding. Those developments provide a genuine fundamental backdrop for renewed interest in Cardano, even if broader user growth has not returned yet.
What comes next for the ADA price?
The coming days may determine if the current bounce will turn into a bigger trend reversal or just another failed rally. The crucial resistance is at $0.198-$0.20. A clear breakout above it, especially with increasing volume, would bolster the case for bulls and make $0.2575 more attractive.
If ADA cannot clear that barrier, the elevated RSI readings leave room for a cooldown toward the $0.17-$0.18 area. According to CoinCodex’s 1-month ADA price forecast, the ADA price is projected to trade around $0.1986, indicating a largely neutral-to-slightly bullish outlook.
For now, the data points in one clear direction: the ADA price has recovered strongly, market capitalization has increased by roughly $1.5 billion in less than a week, and whales have accumulated more than 240 million ADA. The missing piece is retail participation, and the holder count remains the metric that needs to turn higher before traders can confidently call this a broader Cardano recovery.
